Nadia Rose (Angleterre )

Among the myriad buds the world of English rap has watched blossom over the past few years, Nadia Rose flourished above all others. In 2016, she was the rapper on the entire nation's radar, quickly becoming a media and festival darling for both her gleaming petals and her prickly thorns.

At the age of 24, the Croydon native cooked up her own style from a giant melting-pot of electro, rap, soul, and funk. Even though she first emerged from a hip-hop scene that is pure, unadulterated and unequivocally authentic, Nadia Rose eventually learned to develop her natural affinity towards other genres. She ended up playing on three different stages during the same weekend at Glastonbury. She shared the scene with both Alicia Keys and Section Boyz, even with Busta Rhymes and Stormzy - her cousin, a hero of the English grime scene.

Released by Sony, her first EP “Highly Flammable” compiles the first songs of a Rose that has not finished unfolding her crimson dress to the sun, as a poet once said.
